Building a Connected Growth Engine Across Search, SEO & Digital Experience

CRISTA Ministries operates a diverse portfolio of mission-driven organizations spanning education, senior living, camps, media and community programs, each serving a different audience with its own customer journey and definition of meaningful demand. SnuggleMud partnered with CRISTA to bring greater structure, measurement and performance discipline to that ecosystem, with a particularly deep engagement supporting King’s Schools.

Challenge

CRISTA had meaningful digital activity and existing search demand, but fragmented campaign structures and inconsistent measurement made it difficult to distinguish genuine enrollment and inquiry intent from surface-level platform activity.

For King’s Schools, the opportunity went beyond simply generating more traffic. The goal was to build a more connected enrollment engine — aligning paid search, organic search, measurement and ultimately the website experience around the actions that matter most to prospective families.

Approach

SnuggleMud established a performance framework built around meaningful business intent rather than generic platform conversions. For King’s Schools, that meant restructuring and optimizing Google Ads around enrollment-focused search behavior, refining conversion tracking, improving phone and inquiry attribution, and developing dedicated campaigns around priority programs.

When King’s launched its new Early Learning Center, SnuggleMud built a dedicated paid-search program to capture demand around the opening. The campaign evolved with the customer journey: initially driving prospective families toward the Grand Opening, then transitioning optimization toward the more meaningful Apply Now actions once the program entered sustained enrollment mode.

At the same time, SnuggleMud has supported CRISTA with SEO and AEO strategy, helping strengthen organic visibility and align search content with the questions and intent of prospective families and other priority audiences.

That relationship is now expanding further with the launch of an entirely new King’s Schools web experience, creating a stronger digital foundation that connects organic discovery, paid acquisition, content and conversion within a more cohesive prospective-family journey.

Outcome

SnuggleMud’s work with CRISTA connects paid media, SEO/AEO, measurement, and web experience into one growth strategy. For King’s Schools, the Early Learning Center launch showed how quickly that structure can turn into results: 28 inquiries at launch and a 74% drop in cost per conversion within the first month. Across the wider King’s Schools program, that same discipline cut cost per conversion by 44% while paid search calls grew 23% month over month.

Google Ads Restructuring & Enrollment-Focused Search

For King’s Schools, Google Ads was restructured around enrollment-focused search behavior rather than generic platform conversions, with dedicated campaigns built around priority programs.

When King’s launched its new Early Learning Center, a dedicated paid-search program captured demand around the opening, evolving from Grand Opening awareness into Apply Now conversion once the program entered sustained enrollment mode.

Conversion Tracking & Call/Inquiry Attribution

Refined conversion tracking and improved phone and inquiry attribution made it possible to distinguish genuine enrollment intent from surface-level platform activity.

That measurement discipline is what let optimization shift confidently from Grand Opening traffic toward Apply Now actions as the Early Learning Center matured.

SEO & AEO Strategy

SnuggleMud has supported CRISTA with SEO and AEO strategy across the ministry portfolio, strengthening organic visibility for a family of organizations with very different audiences.

Search content was aligned with the actual questions and intent of prospective families and other priority audiences, rather than treated as a generic SEO checklist.

New Web Experience & Digital Foundation

The relationship is expanding with an entirely new King’s Schools web experience, built to connect organic discovery, paid acquisition, content and conversion in one place.

The goal is a stronger digital foundation for a more cohesive prospective-family journey, turning search demand into action and supporting long-term enrollment growth.

Google Ad Grant Management Across Ministries

Beyond King’s Schools, the same performance framework sustains $9K–$11K in monthly Google Ad Grant utilization across CRISTA’s priority ministries.

That consistency reflects the same measurement discipline applied across a diverse portfolio of mission-driven organizations, each with its own audience and customer journey.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

What happens in the first 90 days?

The first month is measurement and diagnosis. Access, conversion tracking and attribution get repaired before spend moves, because changing budgets against numbers you do not trust is guessing. The second month is restructuring: the accounts, the audiences and the pages the traffic lands on, with the first tests live. The third month is when scaling decisions start, made on evidence gathered in the two months before rather than on a plan written before we saw anything.

What does a senior-led agency model mean?

It means the person who designs the strategy is the person who runs it day to day, and the person you call when something looks wrong. There is no account executive relaying your question to an analyst you have never met, and no junior team learning your business on your budget. It also caps how many accounts we take at once. That limit is the cost of the model, and the reason it works.

What is the difference between a boutique agency and a holding company?

Attention versus leverage. A boutique gives you senior people and direct access, then hits a ceiling the moment a budget requires enterprise buying or research it cannot run in house. A holding company has that leverage and buries it under account layers and approval chains built for its own margins. The difference you feel day to day is not scale. It is who is actually doing the work on your account, and how many people sit between you and them.

When should a company consolidate its marketing agencies?

When the seams start costing more than the specialisms are worth. Three signals: your channels report different numbers for the same week, nobody can tell you what your brand spend did to your search performance, and decisions wait for the next monthly cycle. Consolidate when coordination has become the bottleneck — not simply because you have more than one vendor. Plenty of programs run well across two or three partners when someone is genuinely accountable for the handoffs.
