The evening ends. The reason for it stays.
Hope Lodge gives people traveling for cancer treatment a place to stay with their caregivers. SnuggleMud captured its New York fundraising celebration in a short-form film, connecting the evening’s energy to the mission behind it and creating an asset designed to support donor engagement beyond the event.
Challenge
A fundraising event has two stories to tell: what happened in the room and why the room came together. For the American Cancer Society’s New York Hope Lodge, both mattered. Its central celebration supported lodging for patients and caregivers traveling for treatment.
The organization needed to preserve the energy of the evening without letting the occasion overshadow the mission, and give that story a useful life after the guests had left.
Approach
SnuggleMud approached the event as a story about purpose expressed through celebration. The content team captured highlights that conveyed the atmosphere while keeping Hope Lodge’s mission at the center. Those moments became a short-form film designed to inform and inspire, supported by an evergreen approach to its use. The result was conceived for more than an event recap: a piece the organization could return to in future fundraising and donor communications.
Outcome
The evening became something the organization could share long after it ended. The finished film brought celebration and cause into the same frame, giving Hope Lodge a lasting way to introduce its mission and reconnect with supporters. Its value extended beyond preserving an occasion. It provided a focused, reusable piece of storytelling for an organization whose work continues between fundraisers, when patients and caregivers still need a place to stay.
